WorldStrides offers a new perspective on school trips

Each year WorldStrides takes thousands of students from around the world on inspiring, enriching, and educational journeys. With nearly 50 years of experience behind us, they’ve tried and tested every itinerary teachers can think of! WorldStrides’ long-standing relationships with suppliers ensure that they receive the best possible prices. With their international presence, experience, connections and strong buying power combined, WorldStrides have been able to create this new concept which combines groups of students from different schools across the globe into one high-quality educational programme.

WorldStrides have launched a new range of joint educational tours, Shared Perspectives, to six destinations: Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Peru, Japan, Vietnam and China. With just six students, teachers are eligible to join and travel for free on one of their standard inclusive itineraries. With offices in a wide range of locations, WorldStrides is able to combine students from around the globe into one multicultural international experience. In addition to only needing six students, prices are fixed regardless of student numbers.

“We know getting a group together for an overseas school trip can be a daunting task, especially for any teachers running their first trip,” said Ian Peters, sales director of WorldStrides. “The introduction of Shared Perspectives means teachers no longer need to worry about large student numbers which in turn makes international travel more accessible to schools and opens up new destinations which were previously out of reach.”

Shared Perspectives tours include WorldStrides LEAP (Learning through Exploration and Active Participation) activities designed to get the teachers and students interacting with the local people, culture and places. LEAP is WorldStrides trademarked approach to learning based on Howard Gardener’s theory of multiple intelligences, the philosophy of constructivism and the synthesis of the transmission, transaction and transformational approaches to learning.

WorldStrides are able to offer Shared Perspectives tours due to their global size and nearly 50 years of experience. Over 6 million students have travelled with WorldStrides to date.
