Curriculum-linked play environment leaders Playforce have launched a new reward and referral scheme designed to thank loyal customers and add value, even after the playground has been installed. All Playforce schools will now receive a discounted annual Twinkl school subscription, priority booking with Sports for Schools, 10% off Playforce Shop purchases and 5% off the Playforce Care one-year inspection package.

Looking to reward customer loyalty, Playforce has agreed an exclusive offer with their friends at Twinkl. Playforce customers will now receive 14 months for the price of 12 with an annual school subscription, giving schools access to a world of lesson plans, interactive activities, resource packs, PowerPoints, worksheets and teaching ideas.

With the 2016 Rio Olympics and the London-based 2017 World Athletics Championship in mind, Playforce have partnered with Sports for Schools to give their customers priority booking when signing up to an event with a GB Athlete or Olympian, or when booking one of these sports stars to visit their school.

Designed for schools and nurseries, large and small, the Playforce Shop range is made up of entirely non-installation, mail order products. Playforce Design & Build schools will now get 10% off Playforce Shop purchases, as well as priority notice of Playforce Shop flash sales and special offers.

On top of this, Playforce customers will now receive 5% off the Playforce Care one-year inspection package, which gives schools an annual RPII-certified inspection.

Managing director Tim Lacey said: “A recommendation from colleagues means a lot when you are looking for a new supplier, so we have an extra set of rewards for those customers who recommend us to one (or more!) of their friends at other schools and nurseries”.

Following a recommendation, if the school or nursery becomes a Playforce customer, referring customers will be able to choose from:

  • Playforce Shop products to the value of £500.
  • Free annual inspection – three-year package (worth £550).
  • Twinkl school subscription (worth £560).

Is Learning Fun for You, Teacher?

Over the weekend, my family of five went to an Orlando theme park, and I decided we should really enjoy ourselves by purchasing an Unlimited Quick Queue pass. It was so worth the money! We rode every ride in the park at least twice, but one ride required us to ride down a rapidly flowing river, which quenched us with water. It was incredible that my two-year-old was laughing as well. We rode the Infinity Falls ride four times in one day—BEST DAY EVER for FAMILY FUN in the Sun! The entire experience was epic, full of energizing emotions and, most importantly, lots of smiles. What made this ride so cool was that the whole family could experience it together, the motions were on point, and the water was the icing on the cake. It had been a while since I had that type of fun, and I will never forget it.

Employable young people or human robots?

STEM skills have been a major focus in education for over a decade and more young people are taking science, technology, engineering, and maths subjects at university than ever before, according to statistics published by UCAS. The downside of this is that the UK is now facing a soft skills crisis and the modern world will also require children to develop strong social skills as the workplaces are transformed by technology.
