eeZeeTrip strive to save schools the cost and time in producing documentation and permission slips for outings, and look to void the need for parents and carers to phone the office about arrangements. They were invited to visit Hope School because a lack of tracking led to some pupils being unable to attend a trip.
“Before this partnership, the challenges that we faced were the same as most schools,” said assistant headteacher Mr Green. “The office would be swamped with calls from parents and carers, as well as the preparation and distribution of letters for the trips. Not to mention the time-consuming nature of communicating with parents to obtain permissions.
“eeZeeTrip, though, puts the power back into the hands of the trip leader, who is able to fully manage, monitor and amend all aspects of the trips they are arranging.”
The inventive system allows school staff to send trip information direct to parents via the eeZeeTrip app and website. Staff manage trips directly on screen, with no need for chasing up paperwork. Activity organisers can instantly see which parents have given consent, and can send reminders with a click of a button.
“Staff have reacted in a very positive way,” continued Mr Green. “They enjoy the instant control they now have over arranging and managing trips. The Head Count function prepares a list of all who are on the trip, including their emergency contact numbers.
“Parents have also embraced the change; it is so accessible through the app as well as online. The parents are notified instantly when a trip is created with full details of dates and times, equipment requirements. Where necessary, some parents and carers can still receive letters which are automatically produced by eeZeeTrip.”
