On Thursday 21st January, CEO Naimish Gohil will be speaking to Bett delegates at the UKTI International Business Theatre. Here, he will discuss how he became an assistant headteacher-turned-teacherpreneur who is now CEO of his own edtech business. Gohil will offer advice to budding entrepreneurs on how to stand out and create noise in a saturated edtech market.
Currently used by over 1400 Primary and Secondary Schools worldwide, Show My Homework are looking to show teachers what they can expect in 2016. Last year, the company launched SMHW Tutoring, an online tutoring service delivered by SMHW curriculum teachers. They also enjoyed an entire site redesign, offering teachers a faster, more intuitive and easier-to-use platform.
“2015 was a really strong year for us,” said Naimish, “with the site redesign and introduction of SMHW Tutoring, and to start 2016 with the Bett Show and three Bett Award nominations is a better start than we could have hoped for! We're also really excited to announce our new partnership - this is our biggest partnership yet, and it's going to be a game-changer for homework.”
2016 will see Show My Homework launch SMHW Front Row, which will deliver home-grown educational videos covering topics that aren't necessarily taught in the classroom, as well as advice on how to enhance PSHE lessons.
Linda McQuone, deputy head at Blackminster Middle School, said: “We love Show My Homework here at Blackminster. The new version of the site is just as easy to use, but it's now even more engaging and appealing to our teachers, students and parents which is a huge benefit for us. We can't wait to hear who their new partnership is with and their plans for the future!”
